To Re-Watch or Not

It's come across to me recently that I personally don't like to watch a movie or tv show that I've seen before. I know that when I was a little kid, I would watch some of my favorite movies again just for fun. I guess I liked to see my favorite heroes triumph over and over again. But years later, here I am now - mostly only wanting to spend my time watching movies or shows I haven't seen before. I, for some reason, find it boring to watch things I've already seen before. Though, I guess I can't be completely on that side of the coin either. I sometimes do feel like watching movies where I don't remember most of the things that happen, i.e. Iron Man, the LOTR series. Even then, after watching it again, I will put it away and not watch it for a long long time. Most of the time however, I do not feel the urge to watch something again. Perhaps someone can shed the light on why you or other people constantly watch movies that you've already seen many times. I don't find anything wrong with it. I'm just curious as to why people will spend their time watching something they've already seen and know the outcome of what, rather than watching something new.
