Homeland
Yes, I know. I have started watching yet another TV show. I keep hearing great things about this show, from friends and family, even critic sites such as metacritic.com and trakt.tv. Seeing that almost everyone likes this show, including critics, I thought I would give i a try. I'm only able to watch the first episode tonight due to time constraints, and I wasn't that drawn into the show quite yet. The only thing motivating me to continue watching tomorrow or later on whenever I get a chance is the fact that it is so highly praised. The so-called mystery of the whole show hasn't presented itself to me. In fact, everything seems clear as day to me. Perhaps that's actually one of the intriguing facts about the show. Maybe, in future episodes, what I thought to be true and clear as day, becomes clouded and more mysterious. I guess I will have to see. Overall, I was a little disappointed in this pilot episode. I thought pilot episodes were supposed to be the most interesting and enthralling since the objective is to captivate readers and leave them wanting more. This show is lucky it has such a big following, or else I'd probably be moving on to another show already.
