Yes my friends. I have gotten more into the street fighter fighting games.
I still remember the first time I played street fighter. It was Street Fighter II on the Sega Genesis. I didn't know much at the time, I just knew the names of the characters. I never really looked into their story line or anything else. I didn't keep up with the plethora of successive Street Fighter games that came afterwards either. I only occasionally heard of people talking about the game or the movies that came out about it, including the recent flop (The Legend of Chun Li). Street Fighter IV came out and I first saw it played in the arcades of Chinatown. I have to say, I was really impressed with the graphics and the amazing playing ability these people had (no life). But still, I didn't even think of purchasing the game, since I didn't even have a game console that could play it. However, I recently purchased a laptop that had a good enough graphics card to play current PC games. I found out that Street Fighter IV was released for PC and was tempted to get it. What followed the purchase of the game was the purchase of two Xbox 360 controllers so I could play on my computer with something other than WASD and random keys ($$$).
Long story short, I got addicted to the great graphics and my increasing skill in kicking the butts of every character in the game. Now that I've unlocked all the characters, I focus most of my time to unlocking different colors and personal actions for the characters whenever I do play it. I don't play it that often anymore though, since it's more of a spontaneity of the moment type game for me. What I'm waiting for now however, is the release of Super Street Fighter IV for PC. There has been no news for its release for the PC platform, but I do hope it's soon and less than a year. I want to be able to use more characters than the ones I've unlocked. And now I will quiet the Street Fighter nerd side of me as I continue other activities.
