Summer Activity 3 - Buy-ology

So a few days ago I finished another book. This time it wasn't a novel, but rather a non-fiction book about what causes us to buy what we buy. The name of the book is Buy-ology by Martin Lindstrom. The book touches point with many interesting facts such as the origin of why we put limes in the tip of a corona bottle before we drink it. Aside from this, it's very interesting to read about all the companies do to try to make us buy their product. Everyone should know that companies are starting to use sex more and more now to try to boost sales of their product. However, does sex actually sell? Guess you would have to read this book to find out. No the author doesn't just conduct surveys as his experiment and basis of his results. Instead he uses new technology such as fMRI's and nanotechnology to observe how the brain reacts to certain advertisements and products. I can guarantee that even though this book is very scientific, it's both understandable and humorous at the same time. Really another great read if you're looking for something to read to pass the time over summer. And now, I will move on to more things, like another book or so.
