Back to Groovin'

It's been a while since I've danced seriously, but I've started again this week. My friend Carmen is throwing a big birthday party for her 21st birthday and she wanted to make a dance for all her family members and friends. Thus began our quest to choreograph and make a dance. It took a while for everything to get started since everyone had busy schedules even in the summer, but we finally got started about a week ago. It took around 2 days to decide the music, mix it, and also choreograph moves for it. It was hard since a lot of people could not make it to certain rehearsals. In the end we got everything figured out though. The performance is coming up in a few days with only one rehearsal left. We still have a lot of cleaning up to do, but it's getting there. All this dancing and choreographing brought back my love for dancing. I hadn't done any serious dancing for a while, and it's great to get back into it. I always want to learn new moves and keep improving how I dance. Hopefully we can all stick together for the rest of the summer and just create dances for fun.

The music mix for our dance consists of "Like a Virgin" by Madonna, Britney Spears, and Christina Aguilera, "Amazing" by Kanye West, "Boardmeeting" by Timbaland featuring Magoo, and of course to cap it off with "Thriller" by the late king of pop Michael Jackson.
